PALIN: THE ANTI-OBAMA

By Charlie Sykes

David Fredosso:

She is everything Obama is not. A real reformer who took on her own party's corrupt establishment and won, defeating an incumbent governor, 80-20. Don't forget that she's also a mother who chose life for her Down Syndrome baby — we can probably guess where she'd fall on the Born-Alive act.  If this is the future of the GOP, they're in good shape.

The anti-Obama indeed. Miss Alaska runner-up, a graduate of U of Idaho w/ a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Poli Sci, member of the Alaskan Independence Party, a PTA member, an almost re-called 2 term Mayor of Wasilla who hired lobbyists to obtain earmarks, a leader of a 527 group to support Sen. Ted Stevens, a whistle-blower of rampant Alaskan government corruption, and subsequently an 18 month governor of a state with a population smaller than the City of Milwaukee. Anti-Obama, for sure.

Thanky goodness! Now candidate Peter Theron, and myself included, can point to a conservative at the national level. I am now more free to run my moderate conservative position against our hard left incumbent west of Madison.

Not only the anti-Obama! McCain has picked the anti-Hillary/2012. Once again the aura of inevitability is dimming around Mrs. Clinton. If the Republicans take the White House this year, Hillary would have perhaps the best shot at the Democratic nomination in '12 (as the "I told you so" candidate). But there in her way will be Sarah Palin, where no woman has gone before, & only a hop, a skip and a jump from the Oval Office. For Republicans, Gov. Palin is the gift that keeps on giving.

Let's compare Obama's (voting present doesn't count)specific accomplishments while in office to Palin's. How about hearing from others who tout their character and success? Who's vouching for Obama? Pfleger, Ayers, Oprah, his wife? I'll stack up Sarah to Barry any day. The MSM already has her under a microscope that never exmamined Obama. Count me as a Hillary democrat voting Republican. Let's give the GOP the opportunity to break the glass ceiling that Pelosi and Company gifted to Obama.

Sarah Palin has two things Obama lacks. Character and integrity. If nothing else, this pick will energize the Conservative base, and those who planned to sit this one out.

John McCain may not have blind-sided anyone this hard since his high school football day's. It was entertaining to hear the tone of dismay in the voices of the Democrats and the "unbiased" media. They were clearly caught with their pants down, and lo and behold! exposed as eunuchs.

And like Paris Hilton... she's HOT! A logical choice? Politically, yes. As far as that little thing about being prepared to lead the country, hardly. The base wants pro-life, McCain gives you pro-life, and less than 2 years experience as the governor of a state with a population smaller than the City of Milwaukee. Of course, she was a runner-up for Miss Alaska. I wonder where the winner is? Maybe we should tap her for Secretary of State. There is indeed a God! Thank you, John McCain!

I think you're right John. What a contrast in choices between Obama and McCain. I didn't think the old guy had it in him!

This could be the move that puts McCain over the hump...Democrats cannot compete with her. Just compare her to Dick Cheney and she is light years ahead of him and Biden is just the same old song. Her personality, charisma, brains and the fact that she is a woman is more than a god send. As a male I think it will be great to have a woman's perspective in the White House, a woman with the same moral values as the majority of the country.

Just what McCain needed. The more you hear/read about Palin, the more logical the choice appears. This is a home run for McCain.

Great picture Jamie from Hartland. That is the picture of a leader who will be able to look into the eyes of other world leaders and get a sense of their souls.

There is a God!!! Thank you, John McCain! This was the smartest move he has made so far. I have never been so jazzed up about the election!! Now, I can't wait to cast my conservative vote for McCain/Palin.
