BRILLIANT

By Charlie Sykes

So far, the reaction I'm getting is overwhelmingly positive... and enthusiastic. I can't imagine any other choice that would have generated this sort of response.....

What Sarah Palin does for McCain ... and to Obama

Shattering the glass ceiling.... (this must make liberal heads explode.)

Shattering that biggest glass ceiling.. on coat tails? Looking at her light resume, McCain will have to drag her through the ceiling. She was chosen for her gender. Purely political. Can anyone point to a Pres or VP candidate, Rep or Dem, born in the last 100 yrs with a more modest educational background than Palin? Maybe in 8 years she could run for Pres or be a legit VP, if she gets re-elected governor and does something, anything, dealing with foreign policy... but she's not ready now.

I love it. This whole time McCain has been accusing the One of having no experience and then turns around and picks a VP with no experience. Brilliant indeed! Well played sir, well played! Politics....makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

The dems and OTHERS are running the spin machine in defcon 5 mode today. This was a brilliant move by McCain. When BO looses in November, you are not just looking at the 1st female Vice-President, but potentially the first female President-Elect in 4 years. If Hillary had any aspirations of trying again which what could be her last attempt in 2012, this markedly has reduced her chances. With all the nice things she had to say about BO this week, her blood has to be boiling this morning.

If this was a sport, McCain would be accused of throwing the game.

I guess this was Phase II of the McCain energy policy. You talk about about energy from Republicans. Try getting on any of the national conservative blogs. They are all crashing. There is a lot of excitement over this V.P. pick!
