In some circles of the overheated left, it is near-heresy to suggest that Obama will not win in a landslide -- a chorus of hosannas as he sweeps into the Oval Office.
But even the liberalish New Republic is starting to fret that the seas are not yet parting for The One:
Today's Polls: Evidence for McCainomentum Growing

when Will you start using whispered racist remarks to get the bigot vote out for Mccain?

Al, I agree with you that “Nobody in the GOP is that wound up about McCain”. I include myself in that category. The “Polls” you liberals quote to us, incessantly, are made up to make YOU feel good. Since liberals only want to feel good they seldom think the process through and even though McCain “doesn't seem capable of igniting much … firey support “ I will vote for him and millions more like me who love this country. If you loved her you also would not vote for a Socialist.

I too am afraid that wave of Obamania will wash over McCain and sweep him away-Charlie's blurb sounds like wishful thinking to me. Unfortunately Steverino's thinking is reflected widely-if for some reason Obama loses this election there will be recounts for weeks in probably every state and protests/riots in many cities. The sense that I get from the "Obamaniacs" is that non-Obamaniacs would only vote against him because of his race/name/youth/etc. rather than differences on issues.

Al, there is no special ballot for one 'enthusiastic vote' or one 'bleeding heart vote'. One vote cast is one vote cast, and although Obama's supporters will be much more fired up, McCain will have many more votes to draw from because American's in the middle of the road are turning to McCain.

Al - When Obama's in a statistical dead heat with McCain, an "easy win" is not guaranteed. His followers may be organized, but they're also insanely liberal and overt socialists who hate American and love Nannyism. That won't sit well with many Americans. Instead of taking a defeatist attitude, we need to hit the streets hard and tell people the TRUTH about Obama. How his policies would endanger the nation, trash the economy, and run our personal lives - and Obama won't win if that gets out.

Obama is going to win easily. His followers are extremely motivated and organized, something that doesn't show up in the polls. Nobody in the GOP is that wound up about McCain, who doesn't seem capable of igniting much in the way of firey support. It's going to be a landslide. We're doomed. Doomed, I say!

Steverino is a good example of how dillusional liberals can be. Any idiot knows the reason we as a country allow voter fraud is because Democrats own it and exclusively benefit from it.

Sigh.... Steve. People are waking up to Obama and realizing that he has no experience and doesn't have any real answers and it is showing in the polls. After a couple of debates with McCain it will show even more how much of an empty suit he is. BTW.... "Vote early and vote often" --- moto of Democratic party of WI....

"It's not who votes, it's who counts the votes"-- Joseph Stalin. ========== All the voting machine companies are owned by Republicans, so what are you worried about?

Is America finally wising up to the great pretender? Hopefully so and the potential of a disasterous Obama presidency fades away into the sunset. There will be nothing more satisfying than the demise of Obama and I'm guessing Hillary would agree.
