The media may have anointed Barack Obama, but -- oddly enough -- McCain isn't going away. New polls show that McCain is actually closing the gap in key battleground states.
Republican John McCain has quickly closed the gap between himself and Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama in several key battleground states even as the Arizona senator struggles to break through the wall-to-wall coverage of Obama's trip to Europe and the Middle East this week.
This is actually surprising. Given the state of the economy, Bush's unpopularity, the trashing of the GOP brand, and the non-stop media lovefest, Obama should be opening a substantial lead...

Article: "GOP Whistleblower Names Karl Rove In '04 Election Theft"=== http://www.opednews.com/articles/2/ Ohio-Attorney-Files-Motion-by- steveheller-080718-804.html === The really sad thing about '04 was that it probably wouldn't have mattered much, just like now, just like for the last 30 years. Both Bush and Kerry owed allegiance to Skull and Bones. Both sides owned by military- industrial-banking complex. I'm sorry I was only 7 when Eisenhower warned us about them.

Neither Obama nor McCain may end up as prez. McCain could step down the day after inauguration due to health problems. Obama could be assassinated (for real or for fake) and then the Neos would have an excuse to invade the next country on their list under the new prez. A better name for politics in this country is "The National Theater Of Lies." We've gone beyond Stalinist Soviet times with the lies and election manipulations.

I think McCain will continue to gain ground as the days go by. Even though the mainstream media will continue to promote their "chosen one", many American voters are on to the media game plan - get Obama elected at all costs. This means report only good on Obama, bad on McCain. We're so used to it, that most people (myself included) ignore the usual media mouthpieces like Katie Couric, Brian Williams, and Charles Gibson (aka "The Obama Groupies").

Keep dreaming Charlie. Stick a fork in McCain, the Republican party, and the whole concept of conservatism. The people want a nanny state to take care of them, and they just plain like Obama better.
