**LANGUAGE ALERT**
Occasionally lame.... but even the Daily Show can't help but make fun of the MSM's fawning coverage of The One.
And the McCain campaign has it's own musical spoof of the media lovefest.... here.

lord, you people are pea-brained. i said that sykes, limbaugh, et al were members of the MEDIA. Not that they provided news. The category media includes news, commentary, television, print, and, yes, radio as well. right wing radio is part of this media. it's undeniable.

Obviously Saf doesn't understand the difference between news "commentary" and objective news reporting. They used to have a separate news and editorial section in newspapers and on television news. Now the news is all about pursuit of the editorial perspective of the various news outlets.

Big difference, saf, between Sykes and all the other "right wing" hosts you mention. Sykes, et al, never claim to be anything but talk show/hosts commentators with the right of center slant. The MSM, on the other hand, insist that they are completely non-partisan, yet are so completely in the tank for His Most High Obamaship they need waterwings. BTW - the Daily Show is hardly a member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

Saf, it seems that it’s you doing all the whining. Why is it when liberals are confronted with some COMPETITION they always cry foul? You need to grow a brain my friend and just look around at the amount of time ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Washington times, LA times, Bay Area Reporter, Chicago Tribune and the Milwaukee Journal advocate liberalism. And you complain about Limbaugh’s 500 stations? Do liberals research things before spouting off?

saf: to some extent the media bias stuff was old and overly simplistic - reporters generally try to be objective but as a career clearly slant left while ownership trends right and we get some sort of amalgamation of the two. But equating conservative talk radio with a media bias in the news is totally missing the point. Opinion has to be free to go where it goes and by very definition is subjective. News is a very different creature and has a responsibility to be as neutral as possible.

i've listened to sykes' show and it seems he spends half his time whining about media bias. the same goes for rush limbaugh, hugh hewitt and all the other right wing radio hosts. they are the media. sykes is on the radio for over 3 hours every day, on the most powerful radio station in wisconsin. limbaugh is on over 500 stations and just received the largest contract in broadcast radio history. it's absurd for these people to claim they are outside media mainstream.

American political campaigns are bound to take on the trappings of religion; we are that religious a nation, after all. But this Obama stuff is getting crazy. Even the media giant agnostics have become True Believers. One expects the network news theme songs to switch to something like "Just a Closer Walk With Thee" during this European trip. How disappointed those news anchors will be when they learn that Barack won't be on the return flight with them, because he's decided to walk home!

They are right about one thing: Obama IS already the President, in practice if not by law. The election is completely irrelevant.

I saw Chris Mathews on Jay Leno Monday night and I thought he sounded like one of the kids at Woodstock on LSD trying to be profound. I thought he was going to cry then too. My gosh, I have never seen such pathetic fawning-even in sports with Brett, Tiger or Jordan. To JC in Brookfield above: See the movie "Being There" with Peter Sellers. It is exactly what you described, only the seas don't part, but he walks on water...

If Obama is a gift to America I certainly hope that he comes with a gift receipt. Obama would be equal to a Christmas gift where you say "No, really I like it" sarcastically only to be first in the return line on December 26th. Let's keep dropping hints that we do NOT want the "gift" of Obama before the election.

I am finishing up the 'Left Behind' book series and although its not the best written series about the end of days - this Obama guy is sure sounding a lot like the Antichrist character in the books. He is charismatic and a great speaker. Very very little policical experience but seems to have the sea part for him. And a sicko love relationship with the media. I see this as a sign. Get your tinfoil hat.
