Congressman Steve Kagen panders to unions bosses...
"We have an economy today because we had strong and effective leaders in the union movement.”
Kevin Biniversie notes:
The Bill Cong. Kagen is taking about is the most Orwellian named, anti-democratic piece of legislation ever to come around. He’s touting his sponsorship of HR 800, the so-called “Employee Free Choice Act,” a bill that makes union organizing subject to check card strong-arm tactics, not secret ballots as has been the way in the past. It is the AFL-CIO’s last grasp to try to undo the trend of declining union memberships. They plan to go legit mobster on laborers forcing them to join a union even they might not want to. That’s not democracy. There’s a reason that when the more people hear about this bill, the less likely they are to want to see it as the law of the land. (Some 75% oppose the bill in the very union state of Minnesota. America is a land based on the secret ballot, of your vote being your own, and not having to tell which way you voted, and having the right not to be forced into voting one way or the other in the open. This bill is an abomination to the democracy itself. Kagen should be shamed for his sponsorship, not applauded. Everyone needs to see this site: http://www.myprivateballot.com and this ad.

I've worked at both union and nonunion companies. I have seen firsthand the useless "work rules" that never, ever improved productivity, but handcuffed progress and dragged the workplace down. Kagen is such a pandering dope that Appleton should be ashamed that he tells everyone that it's his hometown.

Many Bible verses indicate that people may be eternally separated from God if they are members of evil organizations like the Trade Unions. This is because they are deceived into wanting more for themselves and not caring about the vast less wealthy hard working majority. Rep. Kagen is a dangerous man.

Continental Can and American Can used to be a part of Wisconsin but now thanks to The United Stealworkers Union they no longer exist. All the unions' want is your money. When contract talks come up, they all fly to Flordia and leave the workers to walk pickets in the dead of Winter. They take care of themselves and screw the workers.

If this bill wasn't such a serious violation of worker rights, you'd be tempted to laugh at it. If a police car is parked 4 blocks away from a voting station on election day, they scream, "Voter intimidation"! Yet when a worker is FORCED to tell a union how they voted in a union ceritfication, they are all for it. It is a shameful bill and should not be passed.
