Powerline notes this Obama contradiction:
Nor does Obama's magic end at our borders. Last night, he said he would solve our immigration problem in part by improving the economy of Mexico to the point that illegal immigrants will have no need or desire to enter the paradise Obama will create here.
Most magically of all, Obama will fix Mexico's economy even while refusing to trade with Mexico unless it complies with U.S. labor and environmental standards.
I know the competition is fierce, but Obama may turn out to be the most intellectually dishonest Democratic presidential nominee of my lifetime.

He went to an Ivy League school and has not a clue what the word hypocrisy means. A true American cannot be a communist or a socialist or a muslim. All of those involve force of others to comply. All are theocracys though only one pretends to have an actual god. No freedom in him anywhere. I see him as a mythical being, a fantasy, a soap bubble floating along waiting to be so thin it pops of its own accord.

You mean the same free trade under NAFTA that has caused the poor mexican agricultural workers to flutter to the United States, Only after being run out by their inability to compete with the cheaper products us companies are bringing in?....Please..!!!...I'm all for mecico solving their own problems, but We are not at all innocent in this mess. Perfect analysis! I have been yelling this at my tv for a while now. What I find hilarious is that Mexican domestic policy is somehow the US's responsibility. Mexico is a democracy that can fix their own problems, and the US can only help by offering free trade. No...Obama will talk to Cuba, Venezula, Mexico, China, Iran, North Korea and everything will be fixed by talking.

The JFK Lama's delusions that he is going to shut off trade with Mexico and fix Mexico's economy he is correct in stating the only way to truly fix the immigration mess is for Mexico to liberalize its economy and give its citizens a reason to stay. However, the JFK Lama wants to unliberalize our economy and then perhaps there will be talk of Canada wanting to build a wall.
