Repeat drunk driver in court after high-speed chase, crash
MILWAUKEE - Charges were just filed against the man who caused a dramatic crash in the Stadium Interchange. Squad car dashcams recorded that crash.
This isn’t Kevin Hutchins' first drunk driving offense. In fact, it’s his third.
He received his first OWI in 2008.
In 2009, a Waukesha County Sheriff’s deputy caught him driving the wrong way on I-43 at 90 miles per hour.
In letters to a circuit court judge, Hutchins pleaded for leniency.
“I do not want to repeat my destructive behavior,” he wrote.
"I now realize that I am powerless when it comes to drinking, and I also understand that I can never drink a drop of alcohol again," he continued.
"I feel and know that the hand of God is the only reason why I did not hurt myself or anyone else that day."
