Gov. Walker to court Iowans, stoking 2016 talk
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is gearing up for re-election next year. But the Republican's actions suggest he might be seeking a much bigger prize -- the presidency in 2016.
Walker is courting outside-the-state donors and conservatives.
This week, he plans to talk to Republicans in Iowa, which traditionally holds the nation's first presidential caucus.
He's also refusing to say whether he would serve out another full term if re-elected governor.
The Iowa visit will wrap up a busy week that included fundraisers in Connecticut and New York City.
