GREEN BAY - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will begin work to stabilize the section of the Leo Frigo Bridge.

Pier 22 settled a little over two feet on Sept. 25. Work will begin Monday, Oct. 14 and be completed by early November.

The general contractor is Lunda Construction Company, Black River Falls.

WisDOT is also continuing its investigation on the condition of the other bridge piers. This work will continue through the weekend and into next week. The department will also be conducting soil borings for the piers located in and adjacent to the Fox River, in keeping with the plan for a thorough investigation.
