Woman in MA accused of stealing toys from neighbor
BARNSTABLE, MA -- A Massachusetts woman is accused of stealing hundreds of dollars worth of gifts from her neighbor.
They had gone together to pick up presents from Toys for Tots on Christmas Eve. But police say the woman sped off with the toys and gave most of them to her own family.
"We don't turn anybody away,” said Brian Morrison of the Barnstable Police.
“So I don't know why the neighbor would have to steal toys when she could have got her own."
After learning what happened, police showed up to the victim's home Christmas Eve with a fresh load of presents.
The alleged toy thief is due back in court next month.
