Wisconsin #8 in farmers markets

 MADISON -- You can't do much better than Wisconsin if you're looking for farm fresh vegetables at a  farmers markets.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the Badger State has the eighth most farmers markets of any state in the nation, according to the Journal Sentinel.

USDA is highlighting the Dane County Farmers Market during National Farmers Market Week next week. It's the largest producer-only farmers market in the country, which means everything sold by the vendors must be something they made or grew themselves.
