Weather, road conditions cause fatal Bristol crash

VILLAGE OF BRISTOL -- An early morning accident claimed the life of a 20 year-old Town of Salem resident Tuesday.

Haley Reitz lost control of her vehicle and slid sideways into oncoming traffic around 8:37 a.m. in the 21200 block of Wilmot Road (CTH C), according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

Police said Reitz's car was struck by a vehicle driven by Joanna Derouchie, 48, of the Town of Salem.
 
Reitz's 4-month-old child, in the backseat, had no apparent injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
 
Derouchie was transported by Flight for Life for serious injuries to an area hospital.
 
Police said weather and road conditions were contributing factors in the crash.
