Waupun man charged with bomb threats also registered sex offender
WAUPUN - For four days in November, police say Aaron Schreiber put the whole community of Waupun on edge. He's been charged with making bomb threats to fast food restaurants, Walmart, the high school, and even the hospital.
Schreiber was also charged with being a sex offender working with children. He was a referee for middle and high school girls' volleyball and basketball.
We now know why Schreiber had to register as a sex offender.
In 2004, when Schreiber was in the army, he admitted to having sex and sodomizing a 14 year-old girl 10-15 times. Schreiber was 7 years older than the girl.
Most of the sexual encounters happened in parking lots, including school parking lots, near Fort Drum in New York.
The girl got pregnant, and had an abortion. Schreiber pleaded guilty in a court marshal and was sentenced to 3 years confinement.
A military doctor said Schreiber has an "anxiety disorder."
During the trial, a military attorney explained to the judge, "It's a case of an older married soldier using a child for his sexual gratification repeatedly."
