A new Marquette Law School poll finds the governor's race remains in a dead heat.

Among registered voters, Gov. Scott Walker received 47.5 percent, with challenger Mary Burke at 44.1 percent.

However, among likely voters, Burke had a slight lead. She received 48.6 percent, with Walker at 46.5 percent.

Poll Chief Charles Franklin said that both results are within the margin of error. The results are similar to those released in May and July, which also showed Burke and Walker in a dead heat.
