MILWAUKEE - Starting Wednesday, June 18th at 3:00 p.m., the U.S. Postal Service will participate in a simulated evacuation and response exercise.

By teaming up with several local first responders, ranging from police to fire departments, this exercise will test the emergency preparedness plans used to protect employees, customers and the community of Milwaukee in the event of a Biohazard Detection System (BDS) alert.

The exercise will take place at the Milwaukee Postal Processing facility at 345 St. Paul Avenue. While traffic on St Paul may be affected, postal customers will still retain access to the retail section at the facility window for mailing transactions.
