One killed, one injured following shooting, car accident in Greenfield

UPDATE 4:04 p.m. -- One man has died after a shooting and car accident in Greenfield.

A 26-year-old Palmyra man, the driver of the vehicle, was shot in the head and died at Froedtert Hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Police say it appears the victim knew the gunman, and was specifically targeted. 

The passenger in the vehicle, a 27-year-old man, sustained injuries in the accident but was not shot. He is expected to survive.

GREENFIELD -- Police are investigating a shooting and car crash near 27th and Cold Spring Road in Greenfield. 

A Milwaukee police officer on patrol found a person with injuries from the wreck and another with bullet wounds around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
 
 
Investigators confirm that four to five bullet holes were found on the car, blowing out  the rear and side windows.
 
Police are still looking for the suspects and a cause of a crash has not been determined.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
