MILWAUKEE – Large amounts of snow have caused a strain on city budgets.

The Milwaukee Department of Public Works has used about half of its salt supply so far. That has added up to more than 28,000 tons of salt, according to TODAY’S TMJ4’s Jonah Kaplan.

Storm Team 4 meteorlogists have calculated more than 28 inches of snow so far this year for the Milwaukee area.
