Tornado hits southwest of Madison
MT. HOREB -- The National Weather Service confirms that at least one tornado touched down in Iowa County, west of Madison.
The touchdown happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday about 7 miles southwest of Mt. Horeb.
High winds and heavy rain caused damage across the region. The emergency manager in Iowa County reported heavy damage at Governor Dodge State Park. Damage was also reported in Dane and Grant Counties. In the Village of Oregon, roofs were blown off a a barn and a home. Reports say several properties in the City of Fennimore were also damaged.
The total amount of damage is still being investigated.
No injuries have been reported.
