VILLAGE OF BRISTOL - A 23-year-old woman is dead and two others are injured after a three-vehicle crash near the Wisconsin-Illinois border Friday morning, the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department has confirmed.

It happened just after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 200th Avenue (STH 45) and State Line Road (CTH WG).

According to the department, an 81-year-old Illinois man was driving westbound when he ran a red light and hit a semi-tractor flatbed being driven northbound by a 44-year-old Minnesota man. That semi-tractor then hit a third vehicle, a truck with a horse trailer driven by the 23-year-old woman from Trevor.

The Wisconsin woman died from her injures. The 81-year-old Illinois man was flown to Froedtert Hospital for serious injuries, and the 44-year-old Minnesota man was taken to a Kenosha hospital with minor injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, according to the Sheriff's Department.
