'The Voice' star Megan Ruger returns home to Wisconsin
TWIN LAKES -- Twin Lakes native and "The Voice" star Megan Ruger returned home today. It's been two years since she's been back.
She sang and talked to hundreds of students at Lakewood School, her former grade school. She later went on to perform at her alma mater Badger High School.
Her stunning voice delighted her audiences. She also recognized old teachers, school administrators, and friends. "It's crazy. I'm cold. I'm so happy, "said Ruger.
"I am a very down to earth girl. I haven't changed a bit. My hair has changed. I've gotten some tattoos. I'm the same girl that graduated from this school."
Ruger will be performing live at the Brat Stop, 12304 75th St, in Kenosha, at 9 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $10 in advance, or $20 for meet-and-greet passes, at meganruger.com. Admission at the door is $12.
