Defendant in deadly hit-and-run pleads no contest
Edwood Hastings has been named as the suspect in the hit-and-run death of Andrea Barringer.
MILWAUKEE - The man accused in a hit-and-run accident that killed a woman from Milwaukee entered a "no contest" plea Wednesday. The court found him guilty as charged.
Edwood Hastings was accused of hitting and killing Andrea Barringer, who was crossing the street on the East Side last month.
Police say the incident happened near Farwell and Irving, and Hastings fled from the scene. He turned himself in the next day.
Sentencing for Hastings has been scheduled for late November.
