Students referred for charges in Menasha sexting case
MENASHA -- Four boys and six girls have been referred to prosecutors for possible juvenile charges in a Fox Valley sexting case.
Officials said the female students, ages 15 to 16, at Menasha High School were pressured to send nude and semi-nude photos of themselves to other students. Those pictures were posted on a photo-sharing website without the girls' knowledge.
WLUK-TV reports the girls could face charges
of disorderly conduct. The boys, ages 14 to 15, could be charged with possessing child pornography.
Authorities said the investigation focused on Menasha High School, but some of the students involved are from other schools.
