Stamp prices going up
WASHINGTON, DC -- The price of a postage stamp is about to go up again.
A panel that oversees the US Postal Service has approved a three-cent hike to $0.49. It includes a one-cent increase to keep pace with inflation.
The additional two cents are intended to be temporary, to help recoup the losses USPS suffered during the recession.
The stamp price change will take effect on Jan. 26.
