WALES - A Wales family is grateful after a gift from "Special Spaces," an organization that creates dream bedrooms for sick kids.

Owen Fouts has faced challenges ever since he suffered a brain injury after falling into the family pool. Owen's room was overrun with supplies and medical equipment. But volunteers from "Special Spaces" spent a Saturday giving Owen's room a face-lift.

Special Spaces Director Ann Swain notes, "We just feel compelled to give back. It's a great feeling of satisfaction to make that happen."

Milwaukee Director Kathy Schmidt concurs, "You have this positive spin on the world."

Volunteer Katie Pape was also awarded a "Special Spaces" room for her child. She says it's a blessing. Pape notes, "It's  just amazing to know that you are not alone going through a tough time. It's really helped us connect with other families going through similar things."
The Fouts are thrilled with the results of Owen's new room. It pays tribute to Owen and Mom and Dad's favorite sports teams. Kelly Fouts cheers for the Packers and David Fouts is a Vikings fan. The family applauds "Special Spaces," the volunteers, businesses, and organizations that helped. Thanks to their generous support, Owen will have his own special room for years to come.
