Some animals rescued from Caledonia shelter recognized by owners
A few of the animals rescued from a shelter in Caledonia last week have been recognized by their owners from pictures online or in the news.
According to the Wisconsin Humane Society, those owners have come forward with paperwork to prove it.
The humane society said employees are doing what they can to reunite those animals with their families.
"Because the owner may have been offering boarding and training services, we want to do as much as we can to resolve potential claims of ownership before dogs are made available for adoption," said Angela Speed with the Wisconsin Humane Society.
The dogs who still don't have their own homes, will be nursed back to health
and then put up for adoption.
Dog adoption fees have been reduced at other sites to keep space open for the new animals.
