Shorewood HS considering changes to daily schedule
SHOREWOOD -- There's a push for Shorewood High School to start its school day a little later.
The school board wants to look into possibly changing the start and end time of school to better line-up with the sleep patterns of teenagers. They discussed the plan during last night's meeting.
"There is a lot of research out there about the adolescent brain, and what the best sleep times are for them,” says board member Paru Shah.
One of the big concerns about making the change is how it will impact schedules and after-school activities.
The school board plans to send out a survey to parents in the next week.
