Series of break-ins, thefts in Whitefish Bay, Bayside

Village leaders in Bayside and Whitefish Bay are warning residents to lock their cars, garages and homes, in light of a series of recent thefts in the area.

The burglaries all happened in the overnight hours. They are as follows:

  • Sometime between 1 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on June 7 an unlocked vehicle in the 5900 block of N Bay Ridge Ave. was entered. A GPS unit was taken.
  • Sometime during the overnight hours of June 9 an unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of E Courtland Pl. was entered. A music player was taken.  
  • Sometime between 10:30 p.m. on June 8 and 6:30 a.m. on June 9 two unlocked vehicles in the 1200 block of E Courtland Pl. were entered. Approximately $20 in loose change was taken.
  • Sometime between 11:45 p.m. on June 8 and 10 a.m. on June 9 two unlocked vehicles in the 4700 block of N Woodruff Ave. were entered. A music player and approximately $5 in loose change were taken.  
  • Sometime between 11:30 p.m. on June 8 and 5:30 a.m. on June 9 an unlocked vehicle in the 4800 block of N Sheffield Ave. was entered. Approximately $10 in loose change was taken.  
  • Sometime between 7 p.m. on June 5 and 5:00 a.m. on June 6 a unattached garage with an unlocked side door was entered and a Trek bicycle was taken. Loose coins and a black nylon bag were also taken from unlocked vehicles in the garage.
