EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- Law enforcement agencies from across New York and New Jersey say they are ready for next month's Super Bowl.

They've spent the last year preparing for the big game. Thousands of officers will be deployed across the area for events planned from MetLife Stadium to Times Square.

"Nobody at this table needs to be reminded in the shadow of the World Trade Center,” said Chief Christopher Trucillo of the New Jersey Transit Police.

“[Or] how important this event is to make people safe in our region."

Security teams have also been prepped for a power outage, like at last year's game, and the possibility of severe weather.
