School mascot's head returns, has extensive damage

CALEDONIA – The head of Clifford the alligator has returned.

The head of the popular mascot at Gifford Elementary, which was stolen March 26, was placed on Principal Leslie Hunt's front porch around midnight Sunday.

It had extensive damage, according to Caledonia police.

Police said it is unknown who placed it on the porch.
