School employee, bus driver identified in Internet sex sting
GREEN BAY, WI - A child sex sting operation over the weekend led to 16 arrests in Wisconsin, including two men with ties to the Green Bay School District.
Jason Gehrke,38, worked as a library media specialist at Keller and Wilder Elementary Schools. Victor Iakimenko, 34, was a school bus driver. A letter was sent out to parents urging them to educate their kids on these kinds of situations, and school leaders say they will review their safety procedures for hiring employees.
"There is always an opportunity in something like this to review all policy and procedure to make sure that we are doing everything possible," says Superintendent Dr. Michelle Langefeld.
A total of 16 people were arrested in the sting that was conducted last week. The school employee has been placed on administrative leave, while the bus driver has been taken off his route.
