MILWAUKEE - Brewers COO Rick Schlesinger says Ryan Braun's long journey back into the fans' good favor is still just beginning.

"To use baseball terms, he's probably in the 2nd inning of what is a 9-plus inning opportunity and challenge for him," Schlesinger said.

Schlesinger outlined what he sees as Braun's keys to a comeback:

"He's apologized, he needs to go on the field and perform well. I think he needs to sort of recognize that it's going to be a long road to recovery."

But, he says that will likely take many seasons.  Still, Schlesinger says he thinks fans can separate their opinions on Braun's scandal from their love of the team.
