Salad-on-a-stick makes its debut at the Wisconsin State Fair
MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin State Fair and all its bacon wrapped, deep fried delights begins Thursday.
There are 70 new foods, 21 of them on a stick.
Just looking at the rundown of new foods could give you heartburn. Things like a beer-battered bacon wrapped cheddar hot dog on-a-stick, deep-fried peanut butter and bacon nuggets with berry weiss jelly, and a Krispy Kreme burger with spicy pig candy.
But then there's this. Salad-on-a-stick.
“You get pretty much a wedge salad, on a stick. So you get your veggies, cucumbers, tomatoes, mushrooms, the salad wedge, and then a dressing,” said one of the workers at Siggy’s.
It comes in a boat so you can dip it. Siggy's is just to the west of the Journal studios at the fair.
