WAUWATOSA - The Rohdes are home from Russia! The Wauwatosa couple won our trip to Sochi.

They spent the last six days cheering on team USA.

"Speed skating, ice hockey, ski jumping ...Opening ceremonies."

Greg Rohde named just a few of the events he and his wife experienced while at the winter games in Sochi.

"I was just so thrilled to be at anything, it was the Olympics, there was so much energy there," said Greg Rohde

For the Wauwatosa couple, each day was a new experience.

"I didn't have any vodka but I did have Russian beer... It's not bad but Milwaukee beer is better."

Mary Pat Rohde didn't come back fluent in Russian but she did learn one important word.

"Spasibo, that means thank you, that is what i used the most," said Mary Pat Rohde.

After visiting Russia, Mary Pat has a whole new view of the people and the country.

"I think that Americans a lot of times don't have the impression that Russians are happy but they are very happy."
