MILWAUKEE -- Two robbery suspects will soon face charges after leading Milwaukee police on a short chase over the weekend.

It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday when officers noticed a stolen van on Milwaukee's south side.

When police tried to stop the van, the driver crashed into a light pole and traffic signal near First and Becher Streets.

Police said the driver, 18, fled from the car on foot and was quickly arrested.

An officer fired rounds at the passenger, 17, after he exited the van armed with a shotgun.

The suspect was not hit, and was promptly arrested, according to police.
