MILWAUKEE -- The city of Milwaukee has had 14 more water main breaks since Tuesday, bringing the total to 64.

The trouble started after one of two of the city's water pumping stations was shut down because of a leak. That left just one plant to feed water to nearly a million people, and officials said that is what overloaded the system.

The problem will be the focus of a meeting at city hall Wednesday.

The city has been working to fix the water main leaks as they pop up, however, it could take weeks or more to fix the problem at the pumping station.

Common council members will get an update from Water Works and the Department of Public Works during a meeting at city hall at 9:45 a.m.
