MILWAUKEE COUNTY -The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County says donations to the Red Kettle campaign are down this year.

Organizers are asking people to participate by donating to the red kettles on ‘Giving Tuesday.’ That’s an initiative to create a national day on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday to kick off the giving season.

Donations to the county’s red kettles are down $65,511 compared to this time a year ago.  Eighty-four cents of every dollar donated goes to support year-round programs and services.  Click here to learn more or make a donation.
