CALEDONIA -- A Racine man was arrested following a hit and run on Monday morning in Caledonia.

Not only that, driving records showed that Yusef Lateef Kindle's driving license was suspended. Caledonia police said it was the 27 year-old's 26th operating while suspended offense.

A witness followed the suspect after he fled the scene and provided police with a license plate number and vehicle description.

According to police, Kindle admitted to being the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.

Officials said he told them he fled because he was dazed in the accident and had a suspended driver's license.

The incident is being referred to the Racine County District Attorney for charges.
