Racine County D.A. takes plea deal for drunk driving, hit and run
RACINE - The Racine County District Attorney has accepted a plea deal for drunk driving, as well as hit and run.
The Racine City Attorney's Office has now slapped Rich Chiapete with another citation - this one for obstructing an officer. Chiapete is accused of driving into a traffic light and tree while drunk, then running off.
Chiapete does not plan to resign. On Thursday, he paid about $1,200 for his actions. He'll also lose his license for a year and have to use an ignition interlock device.
