SHEBOYGAN - There's been a string of violent purse snatching in Sheboygan. Police arrested one man, but they aren't sure if he's responsible for all of them.

Police aren't saying if this is the serial purse snatcher responsible for a Sheboygan crime spree. But David Reichartz Jr. admitted stealing two purses. One, in a pet store parking lot, and another, outside a bar called Beans on 12th.

"The allegations contained in the criminal complaint suggest a very violent type of situation in which the property was taken directly from another individual by force," says Assistant District Attorney James Haasch.

The criminal complaint states one woman had just finished shopping at the pet outlet by the Sav-A-Lot food store.

The woman was in the parking lot loading supplies in her car. That's when the suspect grabbed her purse, and pulled her to the ground.

She yelled for help. A Good Samaritan chased after the suspect and found him in a yard, looking through the purse. The brave stranger tackled the suspect and held him until police got there.

There were other purse snatchings at Aurora Pharmacy and Walgreens. The District Attorney tells TODAY’S TMJ4 Reichartz didn't admit to those robberies.

He’s being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
