Prayer service held for slain West Bend student
WEST BEND – Friends and relatives of shooting victim Andrew Boldt gathered in West Bend for a special prayer service to honor the young man.
Boldt, 21, was killed in a shooting at Purdue University.
His family has requested privacy. However, Andrew’s younger brother attended the service, held at Saint Frances Cabrini Parish in West Bend.
Teachers and fellow students from Marquette University High School were also in attendance.
“When things like this happen, we simply want to pray. Because we don't know what else to do. And there's nothing wrong with admitting that as humans sometimes we don't know what else to do,” explained Fr. Nathan Reesman.
Funeral arrangements for Andrew Boldt have yet to be announced.
