MILWAUKEE - DPW crews Saturday scrambled to set up signs at downtown intersections where the lights were temporarily down, but fortunately, the power came back rather quickly.

We Energies spokeswoman Cathy Schulze says traffic signals were down for about an hour due to an electrical equipment failure.

That started around 10:15 a.m.

Schulze says in addition to the traffic lights going dark, about 170 customers also lost power for a short time in an area east of the river.
