Potawatomi shooting suspect charged
MILWAUKEE - The man allegedly responsible for the shooting at the Potawatomi Casino back in June has been charged with multiple crimes.
According to the criminal complaint, Gregory Harmon, 27 of Wauwatosa, shot a woman June 16 at the casino, located at 1721 W. Canal Street in Milwaukee. A witness reported seeing Harmon get into a fight when she heard another security officer yell, "He got a gun."
One of the men who was in the fight with Harmon reported doing so because he had allegedly threatened people with the gun, and he "began hitting Mr. Harmon because he was afraid Mr. Harmon would shoot someone."
Multiple other witnesses reported seeing Harmon with the gun, and in the commotion, a woman being shot. The men who were hitting Harmon said the gun fired while they were struggling over the weapon.
Harmon has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon and carrying a handgun where alcohol is sold and consumed. If convicted of all three crimes, he could face up to 27 months in prison.
