Pope earns praise from gay rights magazine
VATICAN CITY – Pope Francis claims his second person of the year title. This time it comes from an unlikely source.
The Advocate, which is the oldest gay rights magazine in the United States, gave Pope Francis the honor Tuesday. The Advocate says while the pope still doesn't approve of gay marriage, he has shown a "stark change in rhetoric from his two predecessors."
Tuesday was also the pope's 77th birthday.
