Police warn residents about increasing catalytic converter thefts

NEW BERLIN -- Police are warning vehicle owners of a recent theft trend popping up around industrial park and work site areas.
 
Catalytic converters, located under the carriage of the car, are essential for reducing vehicle emissions.
 
They are made of precious medals - copper, aluminum and platinum - and are worth up to $200.
