Police Union says Green Bay officer "justified" in use of force
GREEN BAY -- The union that represents police officers in Green Bay says the officer that was caught on tape making an aggressive arrest acted in a legal and justifiable manner.
The Green Bay Press Gazette says that Derek Wicklund's actions were considered within the bounds of the Department of Justice's use-of-force standards, according to the Green Bay Professional Police Association.
Wicklund was taped by bystanders in an incident arresting a 29 year-old man. In the video Wicklund pushes the man against a car.
The Green Bay Police Department says they are investigating the incident.
