MILWAUKEE --  Speed was a factor in a single vehicle motorcycle accident Thursday night that left one dead, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

Officials said that a 36-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle around 10 p.m. while he was traveling southbound on the 6th Street viaduct from downtown to the near south side.

Police report he lost control of the motorcycle on the slope and slight curve at the end of the bridge and struck the curb.
