MILWAUKEE - The Bradley Center is no longer fit for an NBA team.  They say the Wisconsin Center does not have enough convention space.  The Shops at Grand Avenue mall is up for sale.

"We have to do something that is relatively dramatic," said Wisconsin Center District chairman Franklyn Gimbel.  "To take the best that Milwaukee is and enhance it for the future or leave it alone and, like the leaves on the tree, they fall off  and so will the Milwaukee image outside this community."
The Wisconsin Center District offered a plan for a new convention, sports and entertainment area.  It includes a new arena.  It calls for the demolition of the BMO Harris Bradley Center.  In its place, an outdoor park plaza.  There would be room for a residential high-rise, offices and retail space.  There would be a covered walk-way linking the new arena to an expanded convention center.
