Oshkosh Corp., union reach tentative agreement
OSHKOSH - A tentative contract agreement has been reached between union workers and Oshkosh Corporation.
In a news conference Tuesday morning, company representatives and the leadership of UAW Local 578 announced a formal contract extension vote will be held on Sunday at noon.
The current contract expires in 2016. Oshkosh Corp. wanted that date extended in order to compete for a $13 million army contract.
The two sides began work on an extension earlier this year, however, those talks broke down in July without a union vote.
