One dead, one injured after Glendale father shoots sons

GLENDALE - One man is dead and a teenage boy injured after a father shot his two sons in Glendale Thursday afternoon, TODAY'S TMJ4 has confirmed.

Glendale police have identified the suspect as Robert C. Washington Sr., 57, of Glendale.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Sunset Lane. and La Salle Avenue.

Robert C. Washington Jr., 20, of Glendale was killed. The other 15-year-old boy was injured and has recently been released from an area hospital, according to Glendale police.

"When officers arrived, they found the wounded 15-year-old attending to the 20-year-old victim," an advisory from Glendale Police reads. "Officers pulled the 20-year-old to the driveway of a neighboring home first before administering first-aid because they did not know where the shooter was."

The father surrendered to police and is in custody.
